Bullriders, bronc riders, and chute hands only – Spurring in the chute?

My friend and I are argueing weather or not proffesional, experienced bull riders spur their drawn bull, in the chute, as their rope is being pulled to agitate the bull. Has anyone ever heard of doing this? My very amateur friend did this and the bull started bucking in the chute and i called him dumb.

no, Bullriders do not spur in the chute,when they are pulling the rope the rider should have his feet above the girth of the bull, wrap his grip, Nut up, drop your feet to set your spur and nod for the chute gate to open. most of the jumping around you will se a bull do in the chute is from either the bull getting anxtious or the chute boss is trying to get the bull from leaning on the door or wall so that the puller can get a good pull on the rope.
